THE CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENT:

This is the main thrust (no pun intended) of what a chiropractor does. The adjustment to your spine releases pressure on the nervous system and restores normal movement to the spinal bones. Together, this release of pressure and normal motion in the spine allows your nervous system to operate properly. Since the nervous system controls all your body parts, a healthy nervous system is a must if you want to heal and become healthy.

Why does your pain go away after an adjustment? Because your nervous system is able to heal you now that the pressure is gone. It's sort of like taking your foot off the hose, now the water can flow.
